Castalia Farm is a private estate nestled at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Nat & John hosted their reception in the property’s restored cattle barn. This space did not disappoint! The massive ceilings and architecture is a feast for the eyes. I absolutely loved their details- from the soft blues to neutral florals and greenery.
Before the ceremony Natalie received three heirloom lockets: one from each of her grandmothers and one from her mother. It was the sweetest touch adding them to her bouquet.
The florals and textured table linens were a match made in heaven. I’m a sucker for textured textiles and metallics. I’m a firm believer that all of your guests’ senses should be delighted.
For Natalie and John’s cake we went with a single tier sweetheart cake. The bride loves cinnamon and enjoys cinnamon toast. It was only fitting that we created an almond cake paired with cinnamon swiss meringue buttercream. For the design, we kept it simple and classic- some subtle rustic texture adorned with a few fresh florals.
