I always get excited when Carley, owner of CYork Photography has a project.  Her work is so creative and fun.  I jumped at the opportunity to work with her (and a kick-ass team of female vendors) for a special photoshoot for a friend of hers.  I even tried my hand at those mysteriously sexy french macarons.  I might be slightly obsessed with them now.  For this cake, I went with a funky buttercream inlay and gold splatter.  Nothing screams fun like throwing edible paint at something!

Carley had an idea to do a positive, uplifting shoot for her friend that had just gone through a divorce.  Don’t get it twisted…this shoot wasn’t about bashing marriage.  It was all about empowerment and self-love.  It’s a reminder that many of us could use from time to time.  This project was nothing short of AMAZING!!!  See more of this shoot over at Off Beat Home.
